The Ifugao Exchange: BMPC’s Commitment to Continuous Learning
As part of our trip, we had the opportunity to go on an educational trip in Ifugao — with a special focus on their traditional weaving techniques. These valuable insights inspired us, and we hope to apply some of them to our own weaving practices in Besao.
One key learning was how culture and craftsmanship are deeply intertwined — a reminder of the importance of preserving and evolving our own traditions.
Thank you to ma’am Vicki Cadalig for the breakfast treat, patiently guiding our group on this educational trip of Ifugao’s rich history, and for sharing the weaving techniques featured in their museum — valuable insights we hope to apply in our cooperative’s weaving industry.
We truly appreciate the warm welcome and look forward to more collaborations and meaningful exchanges ahead.
